New FairTest Co-Director

FairTest News

FairTest Examiner - April 2007

After an exhaustive search, FairTest is pleased to welcome new Co-Executive Director, Earle M. Test, to the staff. Earle comes to us with more than 15 years of non-profit experience working as an advocate for youth. His experience includes work in administration, fundraising, program, and service in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. Additionally, Earle has served as an elected member and chair of his local school committee and has been involved in many community organizations. Besides, with a last name of "Test" how could we not hire him? Earle is looking forward to serving the FairTest community and helping us make an impact. In his new role he will be working with Monty to help FairTest reach its goals of fair and open assessment. You can reach Earle through the FairTest offices or via email at <etest [at] fairtest [dot] org>.

FairTest's board and staff thank Ted Shaw, who is leaving after many years of service on the FairTest board. The heavy demands of being Director-Counsel and President of the NAACP-LDF have precluded his ability to continue on our board. We look forward to continuing to work with Ted and the LDF.

FairTest also thanks the Bay and Paul Foundation for the second year of their two-year, $40,000 grant to FairTest. We also thank the anonymous donor who gave us $50,000, and the individuals who continue to donate to FairTest. A year ago we were in precarious shape. Now, thanks to support from several foundations and many individuals, we are stable and looking to grow.
